Stool? Bench? I don’t know. It’s fur, I did it myself, and you can sit on it. So I purchased this bench several months ago because I loved the base. I knew it would go perfectly in my bathroom, and I figured I’d change out the fabric.
I did what I do best, and I let it sit with no makeover for months. And months. Then I found this fantastic shag rug at Homegoods for $14.00! I was sold. And so was the rug.
I used my dollar store glue gun to attached it right to the bench. No need to remove the old fabric! I trimmed the ends just a bit so it wouldn’t be too bulky on the bottom, and that was it. Done.
I present to you my really pretty stoobenchoman. So pretty that you will not even notice that I have no baseboards in my bathroom.
See? Still not missing the baseboards that are not there.
And perhaps you won’t even notice that I’m sitting my my bathtub to get this shot. Aaaaaand that I included our bathroom scale! How’s that for full disclosure?
Regardless, it was a super easy project. It’s not styled with a tray of candles or a slinky matching robe (ooh la la), but it fits the space beautifully. And as my husband says, “That looks like a bench that I’m not allowed to sit on.” Good job, honey.
